April 9: C-PACE Innovation: Embodied Carbon for New Construction and Adaptive Reuse Projects

At the 2026 PACENation Summit, Jason T. Bonanno, Executive Director of Market Development for Colorado C-PACE, participated in the panel “C-PACE Innovation: Embodied Carbon for New Construction and Adaptive Reuse Projects.” The discussion explored the growing role of embodied carbon in C-PACE financed projects and how programs are incorporating these considerations into financing frameworks for new construction and adaptive reuse developments. Jason joined panelists from NYCEEC, Nuveen Green Capital, the NYC Mayor’s Office of Climate & Environmental Justice, and RMI to discuss innovation in C-PACE financing and advancing lower-carbon building practices.
