Rebates and financial incentives help fund energy efficiency and clean energy building upgrades, but these rebates and incentives often don’t cover the entire cost of the upgrades. The C-PACE program, however, allows commercial and industrial building owners to pay for upgrades with no upfront cost by placing a voluntary assessment on the property owner’s tax bill. Building owners can pay for the upgrade over an extended period (up to 25 years) and transfer the repayment obligation to a future owner if the building is sold. In this discussion and Q&A session with C-PACE experts, you’ll learn about this innovative financing opportunity and hear about real-life examples of projects in Colorado that have utilized the program since its launch in 2016.
